"Whhhhheeeerrrree's Whitney?"
That's what I used to say when my dad would come home when I was little. I would usually be hiding under a blanket somewhere and yell that when he came home. He would say, "I think I'lll take a short nap and then sit on me." I'd giggle. "Dad, it's me under here." This is the only alternative to us running as fast as we could down the stairs to greet him after his whistle.
So anyway, Wwhhherrreee's Whitney? I'm finally home after the most convoluted trip to South Carolina. Lovely, but convoluted.
I had the most hospitable stay I've ever had. Seriously, Dorothy is a class act. She is now taking reservations in Anderson.
The only problem was that I couldn't find regular silverware, only sterling. I suppose there are worse things in life.
All of that hard work in honor of a jewelry show. And what a jewelry show it was.
She even had favors.
Me, Jenna (the other jewelry owner), and our host, Dorothy.
Come to find out, I miss Anderson. People like Dorothy and Jenna make it so easy to pick up right where you left off. They're gracious and hospitable. Loving and kind. And most importantly, they are Godly women.
I'm lucky to know them.
They know what really matters in life. I say that coming away from the fact that Dorothy and I actually met when she bought vintage Chanel earrings from me.
Things quickly turned to the Christian nature, but thank you, Coco Chanel....and Jesus, for giving me a great friend.
